As the hub for innovation and growth in the Middle East, the UAE has been progressing at a rapid rate.
AECOM’s presence in the UAE has mirrored the country’s growth and we are proud to have played a direct role in the development of a number of iconic structures that have shaped its landscape and infrastructure.
In 2015, AECOM celebrated 50 years of business in the UAE. Starting with our first major projects in Abu Dhabi — Maqta Bridge and Al Bateen Airport — we have continued to provide quality consulting on some of the country’s largest developments. We are proud to have become a trusted partner to our clients, boasting one of the largest teams of experts across the Middle East.
The diversity of our employees and their dedication has helped to establish AECOM as a leader in the industry and we have led some of the largest projects in the region to success, including the award-winning Taweelah Aluminium Extrusion Plant (TALEX), Etihad Rail, Etihad Towers and Al Raha Beach.
In 2015, we were named GCC Consultant of the Year by Construction Week magazine and in 2016 continued to be the consultant of choice in the region, picking up Middle East Consultant magazine’s Multi-disciplinary Consultant of the Year award.
Abu Dhabi is home to AECOM’s regional headquarters, providing support to our presence in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain as well as Al Ain, Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
