Environmental Impact Study and Base Line: AECOM has performed EIA & BLS services for oil and gas companies at the Gulf of Paria, located on Venezuela’s east coast. We have provided these services to support both onshore and offshore exploration and drilling programs. For these projects, we have assisted in permitting and compliance with environmental programs.
Phase I & II, ESA, Site Investigation and Audits: We have performed more than 50 site investigations for oil and gas, pharmaceutical, and automotive companies. Our work has largely centered on supporting buyer or seller transfers and company mergers.
Soil & Groundwater Remediation: AECOM has provided design, installation, start-up, and operations and maintenance services for remediation systems that use bioslurping, soil vapor extraction, and dual phase technology to recover light non-aqueous phase liquids (LNAPL), as well as monitoring natural attenuation (MNA). Our work has primarily focused on former gas stations and similar depots, and has included stakeholder relations and compliance with local environmental regulations.
Asbestos Containing Materials: One of our significant projects has included the design and implementation of an encapsulation technique for asbestos-contaminated soil. We performed this project in compliance with international protocols and maintained high standards of safety.
