Application & Assessment

We want the best graduates, ready to make a difference. Thus, we’ve made the application and assessment process for our UK&I Graduate Development Program both swift and robust.

How do you apply?

Submit your registration by searching for job reference 190203BR (open from September 2018). You can select up to three practice areas within AECOM in your registration. If you’re only interested in one area, that’s absolutely fine.

We run ‘rolling’ recruitment, therefore we suggest you apply at your earliest opportunity as we will fill roles weekly from September 2018 onwards. Our job descriptions, linked to the job requisition above, will detail the academic requirements for each role.

What are we looking for?

At AECOM, we value graduates who have an excellent technical grounding in their particular field, with the ability to assimilate and analyse information effectively and objectively to make informed decisions. Equally as important, we are looking for certain core behaviours that will enable graduates to thrive, such as teamwork, the ability to communicate effectively, the confidence to challenge and ask questions, the ability to prioritise, and creative and innovative thinking.

What is the assessment process?

  1. Online registration
  2. Situational Judgement Test (SJT), which places you in scenarios you can expect to experience in AECOM, asking you to confirm the most and least appropriate action to take
  3. Online Numerical Reasoning (only for certain roles)
  4. Final-stage technical assessment or assessment day in the office for which you are being considered, or remotely if you are not based in the United Kingdom or Ireland
