AECOM provides a broad range of technical services to the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as federal civilian agencies — from concept development and testing through installation, implementation, assessment, logistics and supply chain management, operations and maintenance, and decommissioning and closure.
We support all branches of the U.S. military in the testing and development of new components and platforms, as well as the modernization of aging weapon systems. Working closely with DoD laboratories and technical centers, we also offer acquisition support for new systems, engineering support for modernization programs, and maintenance planning to extend a system’s service life.
AECOM supports a wide range of platforms, including aircraft and helicopters, tracked and wheeled vehicles, ships and submarines, and shelters and ground support equipment. Our expertise extends to defense systems programs, where we prepare budgets, test and install sophisticated electronics systems, and perform quality assurance, training and start-up services.
For the Navy, we manufacture parts and components for critical systems that support ballistic missile defense, along with providing assessment, groom, modernization, training and logistics services. Our Condition-Based-Maintenance teams assess and maintain surface ship equipment using modern tools and techniques, helping surface ships effectively assess equipment condition and better define maintenance work packages.
In addition, we provide clients with practical, creative technical solutions to ever-evolving and complex problems associated with the electromagnetic spectrum. We assess weapon systems’ vulnerabilities to electromagnetic energy to help mitigate electromagnetic environmental effects and to investigate evolving electronic warfare tactics or threats.
