AECOM protects the DISA Global Information Grid (GIG), world-wide, by providing computer network defense information assurance (IA), policy management, incident management, compliance and vulnerability management, forensics management, disaster recovery and continuity of operations (COOP) services. Our team provides situational awareness, real-time incident response and forensic support to the DISA Command Center (DCC) and the DISA Support Element (DSE) operating within the CYBERCOM Joint Operations Command Center.
Additionally, we support data mining analyses and multi-level security monitoring. We review CYBERCOM, FBI, DISA and other agency information and intelligence to help detect and mitigate malicious software and unauthorized network penetration events. We provide response actions through Network Defense Tasking Messages, Operational Directive Messages, Coordinated Alert Messages, and Information Assurance and Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA) Messages.
We implement recommended changes to policies, procedures and technologies to foster continuous enhancement of theater Information Assurance/Computer Network Defense (IA/CND) posture and capabilities. Our team supports the prioritization of IA/CND tasking for the DSE Network Assurance Branch Chief, theater Information Assurance Manager (IAM) and NETOPS Center (SWO).
Our IA subject matter experts are 100% certified and complied with directed levels of certification. URS team members are certified as Level III Information Assurance Technicians (IAT) in the computing environments and as Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP).
