LOS ANGELES (Sept. 29, 2016) — AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, has announced that John C. Vollmer has been named president of its management services group, effective immediately.
In this role, Mr. Vollmer will lead the company’s management services group, which provides a broad array of technical and management services to the U.S. federal government as well as national governments around the world.
Mr. Vollmer most recently served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer for management services, responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the operating activities of over 14,000 employees in 70 countries. In addition to leadership of AECOM management services’ operating units, he was also accountable for strategy and business growth activities, emerging technology and offerings development, process improvement, performance management and quality and credentialing.
Mr. Vollmer has more than 35 years of experience working in the Federal market, providing executive leadership and profit and loss responsibility for multiple business units, as well as strategic and market leadership for operations, customer satisfaction and business growth. His responsibilities include the delivery of high-quality science, engineering, and analytical services, critical infrastructure and facility management, base and range operations and cyber and internet technology (IT) solutions to the Department of Defense, National Aeronautics and Space Administration and other Federal Agencies. His responsibilities also include nuclear operations, waste management, and decommissioning & demolition for the Department of Energy and international clients.
