Mazoon Dairy Company is the Sultanate’s newest dairy farm, comprising an array of facilities including: significant dairy herd housing, feed & fodder mixing and storage facilities, a milking parlor, veterinary facilities, a processing and packaging plant, and a waste treatment facility, as well as sale and logistics facilities. When fully operational, the facility will produce a range of dairy products in a variety of flavors for Oman and the surrounding region.

The integrated dairy project will incorporate systems to harness energy from alternative sources such as biogas and solar power.

By 2028, the farm will have the capacity to yield over 270 million liters of milk per annum, establishing Oman as a net exporter of dairy products in the next 20 years.

Spread over three years, Phase 1 of the dairy farm will house over 6,500 cows, producing 170,000 liters of milk per day with plans for expansion in the future. The project will also see increased employment opportunities in Oman, expecting to reach 90 percent Omanisation over the next 10 years.

AECOM is providing lead design consultancy services for the project as well as pre- and post-contract management services.
