Molly Gifford

Graduate Planner – Adelaide

“I began my career as an Undergraduate Urban Planner in the Planning Team at AECOM Legacy Company URS, where I was directly exposed to a wide range of projects within South Australia. Within my first week as a consultant planner, I assisted with work on community consultation strategies, public health plans, statutory policy amendments and strategic planning reports both in metropolitan and regional South Australia.”

“As an AECOM graduate, I am in the Transport Planning team in Adelaide, South Australia. Joining AECOM has given me the opportunity to diversify my technical planning skills in statutory planning, aviation planning, development assessment, GIS, graphic design and strategic planning. My role in the Transport team has allowed me to contribute to various stages of projects including development applications for major transport projects, strategic options assessments for townships in regional Australia, Master-planning for a number of airports across the country and ongoing planning support for a number of public and private clients. Through the delivery of these projects, the Transport team continues to support me to grow and develop my technical planning capabilities.”

“Through the AECOM Graduate Program, I have had the opportunity to travel around Australia and network with my interstate Graduate colleagues and senior corporate staff, to learn essential, practical consulting skills and take part in the internal mentoring program. Meeting other graduates has helped me to understand the multi-faceted and diverse nature of consulting and to appreciate the breadth of knowledge and skills we have within AECOM in Australia and globally.”

“Outside of AECOM’s Graduate Program, I receive support, feedback and guidance from our immediate transport team, people from other business lines around our office and from colleagues interstate.”

“My favourite thing about being a Graduate Planner at AECOM is the supportive team environment. A highlight for me since commencing work with AECOM is the broad exposure to major projects in South Australia and beyond.”
