AECOM awarded U.S. Department of Energy third-generation IDIQ energy performance savings contract

LOS ANGELES (May 9, 2017) — AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, announced today that it was awarded a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), third-generation indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) energy savings performance contract (ESPC). These ESPCs are awarded to energy service companies that provide cost savings as a result of privately financed energy and water infrastructure improvements to federal facilities.

In delivering task orders on this contract, AECOM will provide facilities improvements, equipment, materials, supplies and technical services. The scope of work includes providing energy and water conservation services that reduce consumption, utility costs, operations and maintenance costs and promote the use of renewable energy technologies.

“We are honored to be selected as one of the energy service companies on the new DOE indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract,” said Annika Moman, senior vice president, power and energy services for AECOM’s Design and Consulting Services group. “This will give us the ability to support our existing AECOM clients for all their energy efficiency and renewable energy needs and help agencies improve their facilities while saving energy.”

The contract is valued at US$55 billion for the pool of 21 awarded energy companies over five years.
