On this program, held continuously since 1985, AECOM provides logistics services at two base camps and 31 remote sites in the Sinai in support of the MFO peacekeeping mission. The MFO is a unique, independent international organization resulting from the signing of the Camp David Accords in 1979. Our responsibilities include infrastructure O&M; wastewater treatment plant operation; prime power production and distribution; cargo packing, processing and inventory control; fire and rescue support; food, laundry custodial services; and roads and grounds maintenance.
We support approximately 2,500 structures comprising 1.5 million square feet of space distributed over 3,955 acres. The structures range from billeting to food service facilities, administrative areas, communication centers, and airfields.
The MFO is a joint organization with army, air, and naval components comprised of personnel from 11 countries: Australia, Canada, Colombia, Fiji, France, Hungary, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Uruguay, and the United States. AECOM works closely with the international community to plan and deliver services.
