AECOM awarded contract valued at US$177.5-million to provide maintenance services for the Navy Fleet Readiness Center

LOS ANGELES (May 9, 2017) — AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, announced today that it has been awarded a cost-plus, fixed-fee maintenance services contract to support the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, New Jersey, with servicing its Fleet Readiness Center Aviation Support Equipment sites. The estimated value over the life of the contract is U.S. $177.5 million, including a base period of one year with four one-year options and one six-month option.

NAWCAD Lakehurst at Joint Base McGuire/Dix/ Lakehurst (MDL) is responsible for managing and ensuring the proper aircraft launch and recovery equipment and other various support equipment is in place to support fixed and vertical wing aircraft operations from aircraft carriers, air capable ships and expeditionary airfields worldwide.

AECOM will provide maintenance services, including integrated support equipment maintenance repair and overhaul services to reduce repair cycle time and optimize availability of ready for use support equipment in the Navy’s fleet and at Fleet Readiness Center Aviation Support Equipment sites.

This award continues AECOM’s current maintenance work supporting the Navy’s mission at Solomons Island, Maryland; Jacksonville, Florida; North Island, California; Portsmouth, Virginia; Cherry Point, North Carolina; Beaufort, South Carolina; El Centro, California; New Orleans, Louisiana; Fort Worth, Texas; Comalapa, El Salvador; Cheatham Annex, Virginia; Whidbey Island, Washington; and Futenma, Japan.
