When communication is combined with education, passion and support, it can be a powerful force.

I’m a first-generation college student attending West Los Angeles College, pursuing an undergraduate degree in communications with a minor in environmental studies. I’ve also been working for the Business and Academic Affairs department during my attendance.

Some of my favorite projects have been the creative short films I produced for Black History Month presentations and designing content for The West Promise, which provides a free year of college tuition for Los Angeles Unified School District high school seniors.

Coming from a background of sound engineering, music entertainment, media technology and business, I’ve launched a personal media website and podcast channel. I interview local artists, authors and business owners from the Los Angeles community and discuss their personal success stories, positive projects and ideologies. This helps create awareness and inspires others to be active in their communities.

Recently I was asked to speak as a panelist at the California Writers Club. There I discussed the advancements of technology and its effects on small business models. I also developed personal logo designs for members for free and helped entrepreneurs gain a proficient online presence.

Being chosen to contribute as an intern for the Future Force LA project at AECOM will give me the opportunity to continue to share the ideas I am most passionate about. Plant the seed and let the tree impact our future.
