AECOM is a great place to grow, and my professional trajectory provides ample evidence of that. My career with an AECOM legacy company started with a summer internship. Since returning to the company after graduate school, I have been exposed to multiple aspects of the business. Over the past 21 years, I have served as a project architect, project principal and director of business development.

In 2013, I became manager of the Cleveland office, responsible for overseeing this 200-person operation. But, having come up through the ranks myself, it is the career development part of my job I enjoy most. My greatest satisfaction comes from giving people opportunities and watching them develop.

Cleveland has rebounded in the last 15 years, and, as an Ohio native, it’s a great thing to see my city grow and to know that our office has played a major role in that growth. Our office is very diverse. We have a wide variety of services — not only facilities, but also environmental, transportation and also water/wastewater. We do a variety of healthcare, college/university, industrial and transportation ODOT type projects throughout the region.

Today, Cleveland’s landscape is dotted with facilities designed by AECOM. This includes the recently completed Cleveland Convention Center and Global Center for Health Innovation, a state-of-the-art facility incorporating the latest principles in sustainable design. Not only is our team living through Cleveland’s renaissance, we’re helping to shape it.
