Acknowledging that water is a precious resource, our water professionals are working together worldwide to find innovative and holistic solutions to today's water needs. Communities around the globe are challenged to find effective ways to provide dependable water supplies, and to restore the water we use to continue sustaining the natural environment.
Our professionals are dedicated to making that possible in even the toughest situations because we understand that water is fundamental to human life. For example, on the Gaza Coastal Aquifer Program, we maintained schedules despite border closures, delays of materials and equipment deliveries, work interruptions and civil unrest. During a short-term evacuation of AECOM personnel to Cyprus, we continued to provide high-quality services through remote management of local staff. This ability to maintain project momentum and adapt to changing circumstances resulted from strong working relationships with USAID, diplomatic personnel and Palestinian organizations, as well as from the high level of communication among AECOM offices across borders and time zones.
